Healthiest-Ever Vanilla Milkshake

It’s National Vanilla Milkshake Day! Today would be the day to have your cheat meal: there’s nothing better than a cold, creamy milkshake on a hot summer day!

But… why cheat if you don’t have to!

I was skeptical at first, but you can’t beat the size of this milkshake… and lack of calories. And if the size intimidates you, share it with a friend! (Or, if you’re like me, drink the whole humongous thing without an ounce of guilt!)

Enjoy a milkshake without knowing it’s going straight to your hips. It doesn’t get much better than this! Plus, it only takes 3 ingredients to make. And there’s a good chance you have these ingredients in your kitchen already!

This super simple, 3-ingredient Healthiest-Ever Vanilla Milkshake beats out your fast-food competitors by a long shot.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of almond milk, or substitute your milk to choice – divided in half
  • Stevia, or other sweetener – added to taste
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract

In a bowl, mix together 1 ½ cups of milk, vanilla extract, and your choice of sweetener. Pour the mixture into a glass container or measuring cup with a pour spout, and fill up an ice cube try with the milk mixture. Put the tray in the freezer until the cubes are solid.  In a blender (I love my Vitamix S50), combine the frozen cubes with the remaining 1 ½ cups of milk and blend until smooth and creamy. Depending on how thick you like your milkshake, add less or more milk!

This huge milkshake is a perfect way to celebrate National Vanilla Milkshake Day without the added calories or guilt!

Sip, and enjoy!
